About the Studio

Hello, I'm Brynn Dougherty.

I founded Brynn Home Design to make the kind of homes I kept wanting to live in — warm, light-filled, quietly luxurious, and built for real family life in the Pacific Northwest.

My design education started, honestly, in my own houses. I've designed and renovated two of my own homes from the studs out — living through every decision, every lead time, and every millwork detail. That experience shapes how I work with clients now: practically, patiently, and with a clear eye on what a decision will feel like five years from now.

Today I work with families throughout Edmonds, Seattle, Snohomish County and the Eastside — on whole-home renovations, kitchens and baths, and furnishing plans for homes that just need to be pulled together.

Design Philosophy

Spaces that feel like they've always been there

Warm, functional beauty

Beauty that doesn't ask you to be careful. Durable materials, real storage, and layouts built around how your household actually moves through the day.

Collected over time

No room should look ordered all at once. I mix vintage and new, heirloom and handmade, so a home reads as gathered rather than delivered.

Detail, flow and livability

The difference is usually in the small things — the height of a sconce, the reach to a drawer, the way light lands in the afternoon.

Working together

For clients who want design and construction under one roof, I partner with Contemporary Quarters, a trusted Seattle-area general contractor — so the drawings and the build stay in step.
